We were notified about an important 72-hours protest in Vienna and want to share this invitation with you & want to state our solidarity with the actions taken!
NO BORDER SOLIDARITY SPACE. FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT FOR EVERYBODY! 72-Hours Protest against border-regime, stricter asylum laws, deportations and wars | 04.06.-06.06.2016 | Marcus Omofuma Monument | Vienna
Every day people are stopped at borders, disappear or struggle to live. Austrias inhuman politics are joint guilty. Recently, the austrian parliament decided on a new version of the asylum law: Supposedly the „strictest asylum law in europe“. We want to make our protest visible – against racist laws and against every border-regime.
Three days we will be continously in action at the Marcus Omofuma Monument. With information, posters, tents, space for practical solidarity. With music and games, workshops, food for all, protest performances, public language-classes, open microphone, sharing experiences of situations at the borders and within the camps, films, exhibitions, theatre… Everyone is invited to shape this open space and fill it with your own ideas and actions. A women*space will be part of it. Bring your stories! Invite people to come with you! A place for networking and exchange will arise. For all, who don’t accept the austrian foreclosure! Against the deadly border- and deportation-regime!
Against racist and discriminatory „foreigner-“ and asylum laws! Against the murderous business of war with arms-industry, against the capitalist exploitation of human lives! Against the fortress europe!
Let’s come together and show what solidarity can do: It can overcome all borders! For freedom of movement, justice without fear. For the good life for everyone!
